Intel envisions a future of middle school learning that requires processor-intensive technologies in support of project-based curricula. Students in this classroom of the future are surrounded by screens but none of them are distracted by social media as they design a bridge in competition with other, similarly equipped schools. Laptops, tablets, touchscreens, multi-screen displays, gestural interfaces, teleconferencing, cloud-based processing, 3D printing and an instructor who is proficient with the technology all contribute to this utopian vision of future learning.
